Class Descriptions
In this class students will explore all things that "fly". This includes the "hows", "whys" and "whats" of flight. They will then design and construct their own flying object which they will also test.
In this session, campers will explore the different jobs an Archaeologist performs. Campers will then go to a "dig" on campus, find pieces or artifacts, learn how to clean these pieces, and then put them together to discover what they have found.
Mapping and Orienteering
Orienteering is a sport that exercises your mind as well as your body. The challenge is to read a detailed topographic map and figure out the best way to get yourself from point A to point B, over hills, across streams, and long trails. You and your team will navigate four color-coded courses across campus using a compass and a map to find points along the way. Locating all of the controls on each course will earn you prizes. Always keep your map handy and know which way to go!
Ohio Mammals
mapping Come and discover the variety of mammals found in Ohio. Learn about their habitats, their interactions within their environment, how they work together and their relationships with other organisms. We will identify mammals by their skins, skulls, and tracks. Learn how to attract mammals and how to protect them.
The Whacky World of Science
mapping Join us as we explore the whacky world of science by taking part in exciting and unusual experiments guaranteed to mesmerize and baffle your imagination. Experience the powerful forces of air, fire, and gases or listen to the cries of a screaming balloon. Mix solutions that explode in color and dazzle your senses. It will be hours of fun you won't want to miss.
